“I have programmed Sanctum’s Puppets into all Manner of situations – daytime with families and nighttime with a party crowd – and they never fail to entertain and titillate. They manage to stir up trouble in all the right ways.”

–Ian Pidd, Artistic Director, The Village

Sanctum Theatre has a wide range of puppet shows & roving acts, from the sublime to the grotesque to the downright silly. Sanctum Theatre’s puppet shows & roving acts are ideal for community and music festivals as well as business functions and parties. The Magic Lantern Traveling Puppet Theatre shows, such as Otto Learns to Fly, are great for children’s events whilst The MacQuails roving act is perfect for weddings.

Sanctum Theatre co-ordinates colourful and messy puppet & mask making workshops for children at festival and events.

And through it’s  Zero Projects Sanctum Theatre works with communities to ‘create something from nothing’, devising folk theatre in everyday spaces using bodies, puppets and shadow. Zero Projects are ideal if you are wanting to engage the local community through a program of workshops in the lead-up to your festival. We can also facilitate a less formal presentation of the performance within the community itself, inviting friends and families of the participants to join the audience.

To book Sanctum Theatre’s puppet shows, roving acts, puppet & mask making workshops or Zero Projects please contact Lachlan Plain on (+61) 432 103 538 or lachlan@sanctumtheatre.org.
